Area 3-Week 75 – Dothan, Alabama, Zone Conference

Dear Family,

Hello everyone! i hope yall had a great week and that everyone is good and safe. sounds like things are pretty busy back home, but thats good. i love yall and the family… but the mission is the best and am loving the time that i have to serve the Lord.
this week has been awesome! we have been super busy and we got a lot done. the work here continues to pick up as we work our hardest and we are seeing success. it has been pretty cold this week, there have been a couple days where the high was 45 F or lower, so we’ve been freezing. we didnt have a lot of appointments throughout the week, so we did a lot of finding and tracting (out in the cold) which didnt prove to be the most effective, no one was outside the whole week and not many opened their doors. i cant wait til its a bit warmer. but we had fun while we were out and we were able to meet some people who were interested.
this week i have been spending a lot of time reading, working on finishing the missionary gospel library before march. this week i finished reading Jesus the Christ and the New Testament and i am now reading through D&C. i really enjoyed the New Testament, it was my first time really reading through it and i learned a lot, as well as Jesus the Christ (as far as i could understand it), they were great books. so my studies are going great.
Elder Johnston, Elder Thompson and I are doing great together. Elder Johnston has yet to receive his Visa, but we are expecting he may have it at the start of next month. so we are enjoying his company while we can. we have a lot of fun as we serve together.
this week we had a couple really good lessons with members and investigators. the highlight again was probably teaching Needham and Adrianne. we had a great lesson on the plan of salvation and the spirit was there she is getting close to baptism, which we have talked to here about but have not set a date yet. we also taught a new investigator, Derrick Smith, who we are excited to start teaching. we have been challenging all the members we eat with to hand out a book of mormon, they have all been very excited to do it so that has been cool.
thats about all this week. thanks soo much for all yall do, and for the love and support i feel. im grateful for the package i received from yall this week, thankyou! i hope everyone has a great week! I love yall!
