I hope yall have had another great week back home! it sounds like things are getting pretty busy with everyone’s summer schedules. but that’s cool, i hope everyone has a great summer.
its been a pretty good week here in Crestview. im not sure if i was too clear last week, but i will be staying here in Crestview with Elder Richardson for another 6 weeks, and i hope that ill stay here for my last transfer following as well. we had a lot of good things happen this week and the work is progressing. not as fast as id like to see it but, im trying my best and im grateful for the success that we do see. the week went by super fast and i hate to think that i only have 12 weeks left, and that isn’t long, 2 transfers flies by! its a race against time to do all the Lord would have me do.
we were pretty busy this week which was good, and we had some great lessons with our investigators and others that we visited. We taught Alex Rodriguez on Wednesday this week and talked about how the holy ghost works with us in receiving answers. we watched the ‘Patterns of Light’ Mormon messages with him and i think it helped and the spirit was there. we committed him to read from the book of Mormon more to find an answer to its truthfulness. he had already ‘read’ the book of Mormon before, but he had just listened to the audio. so we invited him to go through it again, this time following along in the book of Mormon. so we hope that helps. they fed us dinner as well that night.
we also taught Aaron Waggy on Thursday. it was a great lesson and we followed up on the restorartion and watched the Restoration DVD with him. the spirit was there for that lesson as well, but Aaron is still just looking to learn about the church. those are our only 2 investigators right now.
we also visited a number of Recent Converts and Less active members through out the week. we had a lesson with Peyton Shumway and her family where we taught about the Book of Mormon and it went well. we also saw a RC, Avery a few times this week and he’s doing well. other than that we did a ton of service this week working with Donna on getting her yard fixed. i love service but ill be kinda glad when this project is done with. because of the amount of service that we did this week, as well as working on getting our map organized, we did not have as much time to do finding as i would have liked. but im hoping this week we can get out to do more of that.
that’s about it this week. things are great, i love my mission, i love this area, and i love the Gospel. I know that the church is true and im grateful for the testimony ive gained while serving.
i hope yall have a great week!
ps. dad if you could by chance send those ideas for tracting and meetings that be great, thanks!
